Earthen Structures

Earth buildings utilize the use of raw or stabilized earth for construction of load bearing and non-load bearing structural elements. Aquila Gallery has utilized the use of compressed earth block walls for several schools and other facilities in Uganda. The company has also been involved in the design and construction of Emergency’s “Center of Excellence in Paediatric Surgery” hospital in Entebbe, Uganda, one of the biggest rammed earth projects in the world.

The company is also in the process of designing a school that uses earth bag construction for load bearing walls.
